Do you want to be able to run or walk 3.1 miles? Join First Church’s free couch to 5K program open to any teens or adults looking for a little motivation and help from friends. No previous training or running experience required.*
At our launch gathering (and over snacks), we will talk about the various training programs and, if weather permits, we’ll walk 1 mile of the course. You’ll also get the choice to sign up for an official 5k or just participate in our own.
There are three training programs available for you to choose from depending on your current ability. Training begins on Sunday, March 31 and runs through Saturday, May 18. Group runs will happen every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. from the First Church parking lot. You’ll even be given the schedule for what activities you will need to do on your own. Run and have fun with us!
