Sunday, January 23 | 3:30-4:30 p.m. | First Church, Wesley Hall
Back in September, we taught a series called Holy Conversations, where we encouraged God’s people to redeem the art of relational connection and conversation. As a follow up, we will offer a chance to be part of Living Room Conversations within our First Church community. The purpose of these gatherings is to honor God by participating in difficult conversations in a manner that not only maintains relationships but improves them! How do we do this? By practicing in a safe, loving space.
Your responses to a recent all-church survey conducted by Leadership Council stated that a primary concern among our church members is the general state of divisiveness and polarization that exists within our families and communities. We believe learning and honing skills required to have meaningful conversations is one way to reduce conflict and deepen relationships; one small step toward becoming peacemakers.
This opportunity will take place on Sunday January 23, February 27, and March 20 from 3:30-4:30 in Wesley Hall. Optional fellowship time around some refreshments will take place following the conversation session. You may attend any or all the gatherings. Zoom options will be offered. In-person conversations will follow COVID safety measures.
We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to build community, become more skillful at having difficult conversations, and further God’s call to love one another. To sign up, click the button below.SIGN UP HERE
