Sexual misconduct in our nation’s places of employment and in educational settings is out of the shadows, exposed as a social issue of great magnitude and of pervasiveness. The General Commission on the Status and Roles of Women of the UMC, declares that sexual misconduct is fueled by deeply rooted attitudes and beliefs about power, gender and authority.
The program information is intended to promote conversations and self-reflection necessary to transform harmful beliefs.
- Tips for parents when talking to their children about healthy boundaries and consent.
- Women responding to degrading and sexist comments in their workplace or other relationships.
- Men confronting other men who make sexist and degrading jokes and/or comments about women.
