Holy Week + Easter Schedule

Holy Week + Easter Schedule

Holy Week Worship at First Church
Holy Week is a time to reflect on the last week of Christ’s life and to look into significant moments during that week that led to his death on the cross for our sins and his ultimate victory over death with his resurrection on Easter morning. The following services will be provided during that week:

Palm Sunday
April 10 | 9:15, 10:45 a.m. services
Palm Sunday will be a service of celebration of Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and will end with a reflection to help us prepare for the week ahead.

Eggstravaganza!
April 10 | 2-5:30 p.m.
Come out to an all-family event that includes coloring eggs, take-away crafts, a snack, and an exciting live show called Easter Jam with live music, games, and a kid-friendly Easter message. Space is limited, so get your free tickets now. We hope to see you there! Tickets here.

Holy Thursday
April 14th | 7 p.m.
Holy Thursday will be an experiential service that will allow us a glimpse into the tastes and feelings that Jesus and the disciples had during that last Passover meal together. We will end by sharing Holy Communion together. For our online worshippers, you will get to envision what Jesus and his disciples did during the Passover meal through a teaching style service. Have your implements ready so you can participate in Holy communion at the end of the service.

Good Friday
April 15 | 7 p.m.
The choir and orchestra will be performing a cantata titled The Seven Last Words of Christ. This powerful work takes us through and helps us reflect on Christ’s agonizing journey on the cross, from the jeering of the crowd to giving up his Spirit for the redemption of us all.

Easter morning, April 17th.
8am & 9:30 a.m. traditional worship | 11 a.m. contemporary worship
These services will be a celebration of Jesus’s victory over death!
Each service will be filled with music- the traditional services will be led by our choir, orchestra, organ and handbells and the contemporary service will be led by our praise team.
