It’s Not What You Know, It’s Who You Know

It's Not What You Know, It's Who You Know

As the decrease in people coming to faith in America has continued over that past 30+ years, Christian churches are asking the question, “How can we reverse this trend?” We want everyone to know God’s gift of love; how do we go about bringing people to this faith and the joy that faith can bring to all.

The old methods of fulfilling the Great Commission to “Go out into the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  don’t necessarily work anymore.

We don’t begin by just getting people to believe and then get them to belong. We need to begin with a common interest in the community, and match community concerns with how we approach bringing people to Christ. As we reach out to address community issues, we see the changes in ourselves as well as the community.
