We have two diverse services at First Church connecting people of differing ages, influences, and stages of faith journey. We hope you find a service to belong to but most of all, we hope that through worship you have a genuine experience of God.
All of our services feature opportunities for hearing God’s word in an engaging message from our pastors, times for prayer and thanksgiving, participating in communion and heartfelt congregational singing.
Sundays – 9:15 a.m.
Cornerstone is our traditional worship highlighted by classic hymns played on pipe organ, spoken liturgies, a vibrant vocal and bell choirs, and meaningful performances by our gifted musicians. This service is a little bit formal, and a lot of fun. This is the church you grew up with and more.
We engage the scriptures to find a relevant word from God. You can view or listen to past sermons in our message library.
We observe communion on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to the Lord’s table whether you are methodist or not.
We often use liturgy to give a voice to our congregation. We recite the Lord’s prayer and other important prayers throughout the church’s history.
Sundays – 10:45 am
Ignite is our contemporary worship service led by our band covering songs by the latest worship teams and churches. This service is more relaxed, offering up extended times for prayer and reflection. This service is like the afterparty where personalities really shine through.
We love hearing the stories of how Jesus is changing the lives of our congregation. Have a story of your own to share? Tell us about it.
Our Ignite service is far less formal. Truly come as you are, and hang around after the service to connect with others or for prayer.
Memorial Day – Labor Day
Sundays – 8:30 am
In the summer months, we host an 8 a.m. worship service in our outdoor chapel. Enjoy nature and hymns in this abbreviated service intended to connect you to God through creation and community.
We worship according to the church calendar including Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Eve, and Christmas Eve. These services are vital to the rhythms of the church and worshipper connecting in particular ways along with Christians around the world.
Each Sunday, we offer refreshments for the 30 minutes between our two morning Services. Dubbed Wesley Cafe, it’s a quick gathering to catch up with friends, make new ones, and sometimes learn about other ministries going on at First Church.
