Summer Book Study

Summer Book Study

It’s officially summer! What are you reading?

United Methodist Women are offering a summer book study that provides a unique opportunity to learn about the role of women in the Islam Faith.

Two books have been selected: Threading My Prayer Rug by Sabeeha Rehman and Hiding The Light by Rifqa Bary. Participants will learn about the experiences of two Muslim immigrants to America, one who remains a devout Muslim and one who converts to Christianity. Discover what their stories teach us about strengthening our own faith while educating ourselves about other faith journeys.

Schedule (3 Wednesdays | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)

June 12 | Book distribution and introduction
July 10 | Threading My Prayer Rug
August 14 | Hiding in the Light

You may purchase your own materials through book retailers, but we have copies you may purchase from us. Fill out the form below to register.
