Safety
The safety of all children in Kids First is our number one priority. In addition to a secure check-in process, every Kids First Staff and Volunteer undergoes a background check and thorough orientation process prior to serving.

Kids First provides age appropriate teaching, worship, and activities where your kids will fall in love with Jesus and develop their own personal relationship with Him.

Relationships
We encourage Kids First leaders to serve the same service in the same classroom on a consistent basis. This helps to create an environment that will allow you to develop deeper relationships with children and fellow team members. At Kids First, we believe that true life change happens in the context of relationships.
Family
We work together with parents to help teach their children our core values. Our goal is to partner with families by giving them resources to spark conversation that will help develop future leaders and disciples of Jesus.
Fun
Teaching children the love of Jesus in a safe and secure environment is our primary focus, but you can expect to see and hear a lot of worship, games, and laughing! It is a big win for us when children leave Kids First asking their parents when they can come back.
Getting Ready For Sunday Morning
Kids First Check-In is open 30 minutes before worship begins.
God is passionate about kids, and we are too! Kids First is a safe place where kids can have fun worshiping God and learn about Him on their level. Our volunteers are committed to helping your child feel safe and loved at church. The first time your family comes to First Church meet us at Kids First Check In. We will help you register your child and find your way to the Kids First ministry rooms.
KIDS FIRST AGE BREAKDOWN

A cozy and loving place to be, our trained volunteer staff is here to meet all the needs of your precious baby while you enjoy the Adult Worship Service. Our Kids First staff sings, plays, and prays with the children to express God’s love, always keeping in mind the special requests and concerns from the parents. We pay special attention to maintain our safe and caring environment. Our goal is to excite your children to come back and play with their fellow baby friends, and us!
Parents should bring
• A few disposable diapers & wipes
• Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security
• A complete change of clothes in case your child requires it
• A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water
• Any other snacks or food items
• Please make sure all items are clearly labeled with the child’s name

Kids First Toddlers & Twos is a loving environment that is safe and God-centered. We believe even the youngest ones can learn about Jesus in a fun and creative way. Our staff is dedicated, equipped, and ready to partner with you and your child as they take their first steps towards discovering their Creator. We use fun art projects to get your toddlers engaged as well as teach them awesome dance moves and songs to worship Jesus!
Parents should bring

At this age, kids start to learn what it means to love God and one another, and they should have lots of fun in the process! Our volunteer team teaches the children about the basics of their faith in Jesus Christ through lessons based on stories of the Bible in ways that are easy to understand. They sing great worship songs with lots of movement, watch live puppet shows, play games, and work on cool projects that encourage creativity and help reinforce the lesson.

The BLAST class is for our Kids First 4&5 older elementary kids. Here they discover Bible Learning And Serving Together, God’s will for their lives and how they can be leaders in today’s generation of young people.
Our desire is to come alongside families, helping to meet their unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Each situation is different; we work to develop an individualized plan to ensure what is best for you.
Buddies, specially trained volunteers who serve one to one with children who have special needs, are available to accompany children in their typical Kids First group on Sundays. In order to make the best match between a Buddy and your child, we encourage families to contact Karen Klaus prior to their first time attending Kids First.
Families new to First Church are welcome throughout the year.
